Regenerative Farming at Fruitful Fields
Fruitful Fields farms on one leased acre at the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture in North Saanich, British Columbia.
Regenerative agriculture is a farming approach that works in harmony with natural systems to build healthy soil, support ecosystems, and produce resilient, abundant food. At Fruitful Fields, this means using only certified organic amendments and never applying synthetic sprays, pesticides, or herbicides.
We grow a diverse mix of vegetables and fruits to encourage biodiversity, protect against crop loss, and ensure consistent harvests throughout the growing season. By prioritizing soil health and ecological balance, we create a farm that is productive, resilient, and sustainable.

About Me
My name is Farmer Brooke, and I am passionate about agriculture, food security, and training the next generation of farmers.
I hold a university degree in Nutrition and Food. During my first year of study, I began learning about the systemic challenges within our food system, which sparked a long-term commitment to improving local food access. Since then, my work has focused on growing food for and selling directly to households, restaurants, cafés, non-profits, and community food box programs in the Greater Victoria area.
My farming journey began on rooftops in Toronto and continued across Alberta, where I farmed for four seasons, followed by four months farming in New Zealand. Six years ago, I relocated to Victoria to build a viable, year-round career as a vegetable farmer and farm business owner.
Through hands-on growing, education, and community partnerships, I am dedicated to strengthening local food systems and creating resilient, accessible food for all.
2025 marked Fruitful Fields’ first season in business, with sales focused on farmers markets and wholesale partnerships with local restaurants, non-profits, and community food box programs.
In 2026, Fruitful Fields enters its second year of operation, alongside my fourth consecutive season managing a weekly Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. You may recognize my work from Upbeet Garden or Farm or Die Agriculture.
The CSA is built around connection and transparency. Each week, members receive a detailed email featuring farm updates, seasonal recipes, highlights of what’s included in their share, photos from the farm, and invitations to on-farm tours.
